Smartsley's "Pay It Forward" Initiative

There's no mistaking the harsh economic climate that many Americans are facing today. A steady period of high gas prices, soaring energy costs, and rising home foreclosures have forced many Americans to put their small business dreams on hold. Unfortunately, the inability to bring many of these small business dreams to fruition play a large part in a vicious cycle that has our economy in a rut. The increase of small businesses would increase job opportunities as well as inject much needed cash flow into our economy.
We realize the quandary the current conditions create and we have made it our 09' resolution to create a "Pay It Forward" Initiative. In celebration of our new President & his plan of service, we plan to invest in selected small

businesses and provide them with a free website, 1 year of free website hosting, and a "starter" business identity kit - all at no cost to the business.

In addition to our service offerings, we are happy to announce that Global Assist has joined the initiative and offered to provide a free month of virtual assistant services: 10 hours per week, for a total of 40 free hours to our selected winner. We thank them for their contributions! We hope this initiative will help to fulfill the plans of American small business owners who just need a "hand up" to take their dreams to the next level.

So the big question is, what do we require? Here's the catch, we would like candidates to submit a 500 word essay as to why they are a good candidate for the pay it forward program, and how they will "pay it forward" to another aspiring start up or people in the community with their success. We believe one seed sown can result in a plentiful harvest, if everyone does their part. We will award one winner in the "non-profit" category and one winner in the "start up" category! All entries are due by April 1st and the winners will be announced no later than April 15th.
